Mount Pleasant Home Renovation

10-9-2006. 9am. Glass Installers Installed the Basement Shower Doors. Looks Great! In 24 hours I'll be able to shower in the basement, making it somewhat livable.

The basement bathroom vent is connected to metal exhaut vent in an area that is not easy to access. To reconnect it I needed to make a hole in my bathroom ceiling. Better now than before I repaint.

I moved the 20AMP Basement Bedroom Circuit from the Main House Electrical Panel to the Basement Electrical Panel. Not so tough, but there is now another large hole I will need to patch before I paint.

After looking in my Basement Electrical Panel I noticed that there are 3 circuits not tied in, and something odd tied into a 50AMP circuit. The 3 Circuits not tied in are the Electric Water Heater, The Range, and The Washer Dryer (I assume). This must mean that the Electrical Outlet in the back yard has the 50 AMP circuit. I think the electrician assumed I was installing A/C per the original floor plans.

Looks like my Basement Backdoor security light is defective. I used a A/C power detector (not sure what the formal name of this tool is) to check for current, and sure enough it's live right up to the light. I have found a way to turn it on manually, but it doesn't seem to work via motion. Oh well, that's just $25-$35.
